Carvajal Sculpture Gallery

“Carvajal Sculpture Gallery is a space where Pan-American artists will be able to show the emotional, spiritual and humorist side of the human experience through sculpture. We focus on contemporary sculpture and will also present paintings, monoprints and serigraphy”, says Marcos Carvajal sculptor and gallery owner.

“Our mission is to represent quality art work created by Pan American artists and to offer our collectors opportunities to learn about our artists and their work through lectures and demonstrations by artists, videos, and books.”

The opening exhibit included sculptors Hiram Rosado, winner of the II World Triennial Exhibition of Small Ceramics in Zagreb, Yugoslavia; Adriana Mangual, winner of the I and II Puerto Rican Contemporary Ceramic Biennial; Greg Pierce, who recently exhibited at The Arts Studio, Inc., in Texas and at the Everson Museum of Art in New York, is presenting a combination of sculptural and functional work; Jose Luis Yamunaque who uses the ancient Peruvian pre-Columbian technique of the paddle and stone to create his vessels: Clara Bohrer’s inner metaphors expressed through her intense monoprints; Aurelio Grisanty, who represented the Dominican Republic in the Latin Art Festival of 1991 in Nagoya, Japan; Wilson Gouvea who is showing work depicting the magic realism so present in Latin American art; Luis Cajiga’s poetical realism of the Caribbean landscape is presented through his serigraphs and Marcos Carvajal who is showing ceramic sculpture as part of the Magic Universe Collection, to be exhibited at the Museum of Fire Arts of Venezuela.

Selected new work by gallery artists and selected work by five new gallery artists: Priscilla Seddon, Massaro Perez, Patrick Cunningham, Steve La Rochelle and Alix Lawlor.
