Marcos Carjajal’s work stems from the conviction that art serves as a bridge between cultures, personal and collective memory, and our inner lives and the world we inhabit.
As a multimedia artist - sculpture, painting, digital art, mixed media and wearable art - offers him a distinct gateway into the voices of ancient cultures, and multiple natural and social contexts.
Viewers’ participation is not separate from his art. Designing experiences that invite the public to interact and reconstruct images transforms viewers into co-creators, reminding us that culture and visuality are living entities—things that are built together.
Putting Together the Visualis a participatory art installation that explores the relationship between visual perception of cultural icons, spatial cognition, and active spectatorship. Situated between art installation and interactive workshop, it explores how art engages the viewer and stimulates the development of visual-spatial intelligence through processes of observation, reconstruction, and experimentation. The icons represented in the installation create a narrative of personal experiences with nature and different cultures, capable of attaining universal dimensions.
